Hey, I’m Chris(TRCB), local tech nerd and Zombie, who loves breaking things (and fixing them again). I’m into old tech, video editing, software, and experimenting with ideas just to see what’s possible. This site is my space to share more about myself, my projects, photos I’ve taken, and my journey as I keep improving along the way.

What does ChrisTRCB mean?

TRCB, what could it possibly mean? TRansphobic Cuthroat Bitch? The Really Chonky Boi? Totally Random Cool Bits? Tactical Rubber Chicken Brigade? The Retro Computing Bench? (Shit maybe I should change it to that secretly). Well as good as all of those acronyms are (or aren’t) that is not what it means

So the story starts when I was 8. I was watching a bunch of DanTDM and wanted to become a YouTuber (who didn’t at 8) and I knew that “christianmm113” wasn’t a fucking banger if I wanted to get 1 Billion subscribers in 2018. So I thought, and thought. Then I realized “Hey, DanTDM is an acronym, which is Dan TheDiamondMinecart, what if I made a Minecraft related acronym! I’d get 1 million subs in 2 minutes!” I said enthusiastically. So I combined my favorite things in Minecraft, and created the name ChrisTRCB…. That stands for Chris The Redstone Command Block….. God how was I not bullied as a kid.

And overtime it just stuck. I got better at saying “TRCB” and I couldn’t even thing of having a different username.

I like Tech! Tech Includes:

I really like technology, especially seeing how it’s evolved over time and where it’s heading next. I’m fascinated by old computers and legacy systems, and I enjoy exploring older operating systems like Windows 7, usually from 2006-2018. I’m also into old phones; whether it’s their hardware design, software limitations, or just the nostalgia they bring. At the same time, I keep an eye on emerging technologies, experimenting with new ideas and tools to understand what’s possible and how tech continues to shape the future. Some highlights of old devices is Windows Phone and Microsoft devices, Sony Devices and Apple Products.

My Love for Music and why I love Music

Music is a big part of my everyday life, and I enjoy experiencing it through both modern and classic formats. I still use CDs daily and actively collect them, appreciating the physical aspect of owning music and the sound quality they offer. When I’m on the go, I prefer using iPod’s, MiniDisc’s, or even Zune’s!, combining portability with a bit of nostalgia and hands-on interaction that streaming alone doesn’t replicate.

I manage my collection using iTunes Match (iTunes Cloud Library nowadays), where I like having full control over my tracks, metadata, and playlists. My music taste is extremely broad, I listen across many genres, decades, and styles, ranging from older classics to modern releases. I enjoy discovering new artists just as much as revisiting familiar favourites, and my playlists often jump between completely different moods and sounds. I love hearing others taste’s and favourite songs, so don’t be shy to tell be about some artist or song you think’s cool! I may like it. This variety is a big part of what keeps music interesting for me. If you’re curious about what I listen to, you can check out my Spotify profile in my Socials page to get a snapshot of my listening habits.
